I was afraid of doing things like that, i mean i use
to think that if things are working at their minimum
even, than let them work, do not touch them. But this
thing brings a huge fall in one learning curve, so
better should leave the fear away. Read the FAQ do a
complete research, and then you will be confident.
Recompiling squid is not a big job, just imagine how
the code would be written, if they can write it than
you can compile it:) atleast its far simple than
writing it.

What platfor are you using for squid. as there is a
little differnce in methodologies.
