well, this is my setup..
1. Router A has 2 ethernet interfaces.. eth0/0
connects to my downstream device and eth0/1 connects
to Router B back to my LAN...
2. Squid is on Router A's eth0/1 segment.. eth0/1 has
2 IP's... 192.168.0.50/29 and 192.168.1.254/29.. the
Squid IP is 192.168.1.250/29, and Squid's default gw
is 192.168.1.254...
3. Router B has 2 ethernet interfaces... eth0/0
connects to my LAN and has IP 192.168.0.1/28... eth0/1
has 2 IP's.. 192.168.0.49/29 and 192.168.1.253/29...
4. i enabled wccp on Router B's eth0/1 interface with
command 'ip wccp web-cache redirect in', since the
cache is on this segment, but it didn't work..
5. i then enabled wccp on Router B's eth0/0 interface
with command 'ip wccp web-cache redirect out', and it
still didn't work.. i have my route-map on this
interface for Squid transparent redirection, and it's
working fine...
6. i even tried to enable wccp on Router A's eth0/1
interface, and it still didn't work (although Router A
had established a wccp connection with Squid)...
i have the strangest feeling that it could be an
interface placement problem, but seeing as i haven't
done this before, it's hard to trouble shoot...
