Weird..  Let's step a few steps back and forget all high ports. Ipfw is forwarding all 
http packets to localhost port 80 as described earlier.

Squid-2.5STABLE7-RC1 (Note: NOT compiled with --enable-ipf-transparent)
squid.conf:

http_port 80
httpd_accel_host virtual
httpd_accel_port 80
httpd_accel_with_proxy on
httpd_accel_uses_host_header on

This is working.

I shutdown Squid-2.5 and start Squid-3 instead (compiled with --enable-ipf-transparent)
squid.conf:

http_port 127.0.0.1:80 transparent

This is not working. "Invalid URL" (NONE/400 1749 GET / - NONE/- text/html)
Since the redirection has proven to be working I assume there's something wrong with 
my squid3, but I just cannot get a grip of what... :-/
