Thanks, based on what you've said here, I went through and found the http_access rules and made some changes. What was there is the default that comes with the installation. I added acl myserver dst xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/255.255.255.255 http_access allow myserver right before the line that says http_access deny all ... restarted Squid and now pages are coming up. The log entries no longer show an access denied message, but I see the entries have the word DIRECT. Does this imply that Squid is pulling all of the pages from Apache rather than from it's cache? I've visited pages several times and the word DIRECT remains in line entries. Thanks for your help, Ed
