first create your cache partition with ext3 and install redhat 9.
After installation u can change the partition filesystem with below
command

# umount /cache1
mkreiserfs /dev/hda1 ==which is /cache1 partition
and then modify /etc/fstab
and reboot the machine and u will be with reiserfs filesystem.

linux reiserfs
then installation program and disk druid spports reiserfs
