Yes, due to Microsoft wonderful design of NTLM over HTTP authentication..
I have seen that M$IE 6.0 on Windoze XP opens a lot of socket, 40 for one single page: does this mean that up to 40 processes are involved?
40 calls to the ntlm helpers will be required here, with 40 calls to the domain controller..
