Hello, I have also implemented the "anonymize_headers deny Accept-Encoding" in my squid.conf file, and can confirm that it works for squid 2.4STABLE7 (RedHat 2.1AS). I can now log into hotmail acounts without issue.
It does not appear to adversely affect accessing other web sites. Thanks Yiu-chung and Henrik! I have tested this option for squid 2.4.stable6 and it worked for me. -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
