Which Squid version?
You can also try rebuilding Squid without -O.
First i thought that might be something wrong with kernel version or
anything. But on other machine parrarel installed system works fine.
Except one diffrence (PIV-CELERON processor on the second one.)
Smells there is something wrong with the installation on the first
machine. Either the Squid or libc installation. Or perhaps (but not
likely) a broken CPU.
