That is no argument, at all; caches can't be that relaxed on broken webservers versus browsers. They have to store and or keep objects, and preserve object integrity; which is difficult to do if a http1.1 reply does not include 'Content-length:' -> Complain to the remote webmaster that his webserver is broken.
