Hi all, I get FATAL: Received Segment Violation...dying. every hour or so. It is always prefaced by : 2006/11/06 10:37:23| 84490d8 lookup for 50 2006/11/06 10:37:23| 84490d8: joining for id 50 2006/11/06 10:37:23| 84490d8: joined for id 50: * FATAL: Received Segment Violation...dying.
The 84490d8 number is different each time, but it is still prefaced by this lookup for 50 thing. It is Squid 2.6 STABLE4. I have been trying to trace down this problem for days and just seem to be spinning my wheels. I tried re-compiling without using the Gcc optimizations as per another article, no luck. The server still drops dead every hour-hour and 10 minutes and then reboots. I have checked my cron extensively looking for anything that might be running every hour, the only thing in there that happens on less than a weekly basis is the nightly log file rotate for squid (11:50pm).
