Hi All, I'm trying to upgrade the version of Squid I am running. OS is Solaris8 Squid is 2.6 Stable5
One one system, squid runs fine. However, on another system -- squid runs for a few minutes, then dies. Below is the error from syslog: Nov 12 13:50:00 sunhost squid[28464]: [ID 541208 local4.notice] Squid Parent: child process 28466 exited due to signal 9 I have tried different compiled options. I have tried using the binary from the system that runs fine, as well as its squid.conf file, and squid still dies (same error). When I launch squid in non-daemon mode (cmd line option -N), squid will run stable. This really has me scratching my head. /sbin/squid -k parse -- does not report anything wrong Nothing on cache.log. It only has the last "normal" output in it. I haven't had any luck finding this problem (and fix) with Google or the Squid mailing list archives. Any ideas? TIA
