hello, how do i setup squid 2.6 to run in transparent proxy mode? i saw a note that said:
http_port ip-proxy:3128 transparent vhost vport=80 defaultsite=virtual protocol=http is for a reverse proxy setup and that: http_port ip-proxy:3128 transparent is for transparent proxy, but squid will not start with either of these http_port setups, it immediately dies. what am i doing wrong? are there other options i need to set in squid.conf to get it to run in transparent mode (or reverse proxy mode for that matter)? thanks, murrah boswell
