Hello,
I have been given a task that I don´t know were to start, so I´m asking fellow
list subscribers for some guidance.
I need to implement web restrictions for different departments. For example, I
need that the marketing department has access to hotmail.com but not the rest
of the company. On the same level, I need that the tech support and engineers
have access to only a few selected websites. This is only a small example of
all the rules I need to implement.
I was thinking of a way to integrate squid with our Active Directory. So, when a user
tries to surf the web, squid queries our AD and sees which "group" that user
belongs to and apply a certain rule.
If anybody has documents or some literature to, at least, point me to the right
path on how to get started, I would be very grateful.
Or if there is a easier way to implement this, please let me know.
Thank you,
Fred Pohl
