A problem indeed..

A ugly workaround is
header_access deny Via

but be warned that this
1. Will make Squid never detect unintentional loops
2. Violates the HTTP standard


I strongly recommend you to change to run two instances instead. The
outer instance is just the HTTP engine for DansGuardian.

Note: If you have an ISP proxy the outer instance is not needed and DG
can be configured to connect directly to the ISP proxy..
