My 2c WRT 2 v 3 etc; - We currently run commercial proxies and are looking to replace them with squid boxes, however recent list discussion is making me a little nervous. I would have used 2.6 for performance (need to support 10K users) and for - Secure Computing's Smartfilter. It currently runs on 2.6-17. Do the Squid3 devs have any contact with Secure Computing about Smartfilter coming to v3? Has there been any contact about v2 in the past?
Also, while I think MP would be nice, its easy enough to load balance across multiple boxes with proxy.pac or WCCP or a layer 7 switch, so its not a killer feature IMO. I'd be much more interesting in have 3 brought up to parity with 2 rather than working on extra features. Rgs, Adam
