Hi,
I installed squid on the front of our webserver in accelerator mode so that
all static content is served by squid and the dynamic content passed to the
webserver at the back. I am using lighttpd at the backend and have password
protected one of the folders using htpasswd utility. After installing squid
when I call the protected folder in the browser like so
www.mysite.com/protectedfolder I get the authentication challenge window
but when I enter the username and password the window comes back. It seems
because of squid it is not possible to authenticate anymore.
Any help with regards to this issue will be highly appreciated.
