signal 11 is SIGSEGV. assert generates signal 6 SIGABRT. But in either case, first step is to get a stack trace of the error as outlined in the Squid FAQ section on how to report bugs. And yes, it's defenitely a bug of some kind which jumps up and bites you. Regards Henrik
