Then make sure you do not block CONNECT requests with a URL rewrite, trying to rewrite the CONNECT host into a HTTP URL... Blocking CONNECT requests with a browser redirect is sometimes fine, but browsers are starting to disallow that for security reasons, for the same reasons they are stopping to display any proxy error messages in response to CONNECT requests...
