I'd like to prefer ReiserFS but as Jenny pointed out it's no longer developed. So that's definitely a dead end. That leaves you with ext4 (of those two). When creating the filesystem just make sure you create enough inodes on your partition (have a look at the -i option of mke2fs). Regards, Peter
