Thanks.

I am not sure if the software use HTTP protocol. But there is a website has the
same video resource and the end user can watch video via IE or other web
browser after intalling plug-ins. Does that mean it use HTTP protocol? Or can
we try to cache the video of the website?
no it wont be an HTTP based protocol.
and a trick to "cache" is to run a machine with this toolbar or plugins and leave it working on a high band network. it will give this p2p network speed up and not caching but it's good for the users and the providers.

Thank you very much for your answers.

Another question: Is it possible to cache PPStream which is a peer-to-peer
streaming video network software. Compared to traditional streaming media, it
adopts P2P-streaming technology .

Does this peer-to-peer software use HTTP protocol or another protocol
that conforms to HTTP syntax rules? (given that P2P is a very different
model of traffic flow to HTTP, I think probably not).
Squid only supports HTTP streaming and ICY streaming at present without
code alterations.
