Thanks! I missed that directive.  And yes when I lowered it I was able to 
decrease the initial lookup time to 5 seconds if I set the directive to 5 
seconds.  I am wondering what tradeoff I will have, if anything else will break 
by lowering this too low.

Is the timeout on lookup I experience due to the internal resolver trying to do 
an ipv6 host name lookup?

I received similar #'s to the above when it tried for the AAAA record it took 
15 seconds till it timed out.
