Just start anywhere and tell us something.
You say you've done this before and presumably it worked then. What did
you do differently then compared to now? What has changed since then?
How did it respond differently now compared to then?
Is squidGuard on your path? Does it tell you "command not found"?
The documentation notes that for <squidGuard -C listfile> that listfile
is the absolute plain text filename or relative to dbhome.
Do the plain text files domains and urls exist? Are they *nix files in
the specified format? What are the ownerships and permissions of the
files? What does the squidGuard log file indicate after attempting to
build the databases?
Hopefully that will get you started.
Rick

Subject: Creating databases
Hello,
I have been trying to rebuild my databases with:
squidGuard -C domains
or,
squidGuard -C all
but the process does not seem to be doing anything. What might be
wrong? I have created these databases before. If I am being too vague,
please tell me what information I need to tell you.
Thanks,
Joe
