I'd like to chime in that I would be willing to pay a reasonable subscription amount as well to assist in offsetting the costs of maintaining the blacklists.

Does anyone know why the blacklist has not been updated since
30Sept2001?
There was a discussion about the blacklist here a while back; the
blacklist started receiving regular updates and the discussion faded
away. And now the updates have stopped again.
I would be willing to pay a reasonable subscription amount for a
well-maintained list Are there any vendors that sell their lists in a
text format that squidGuard can use?
