Excellent write up, thank you for saving me many hours lost effort going down that track. Has anyone thought about a MySQL (or equiv) based back end for squidGuard ? Any PHP monkey could know together usable frontends in an evening. Searching and sorting thru _lots_ of URLs and regexs _could_ be much simpler and quicker. Updating the system would be a snap. --markc
