Yep.  It does seem to raise some serious ire in some folks.  It isn't 
perfect--and you've pointed out its flaws pretty clearly in your 
subsequent email on the subject.  They will be addressed...I was aware 
of some, and unaware of others.

It should definitely still be considered beta software.  I do not use it 
in a production environment...for that matter, I don't even use 
SquidGuard in a production environment--not because SquidGuard isn't 
production-ready, but because I have several products in development, 
and our content blocking system hasn't been getting my attention lately. 
  The SquidGuard module hasn't been extensively tested by me, by any 
means...so much of the complaints folks have are news to me.

Anyway, the problems will get worked out pretty soon, as I have been 
receiving some client interest in content blocking tools--my development 
time and funding is completely directed by what paying customers want 
and need from our servers and software.

I very much appreciate your comments on the problems you ran into while 
playing with it, Rick.  It will come in handy as a check-list for me, 
when I do begin work on the SquidGuard side of our content filtering 
package.
