I've attached 2 scripts: update_blacklists update_blacklists_minimal The "minimal" script is the one you want to work with. It should work as is, and it will give you some ideas.
Later, you might want to look at the update_blacklists script. That's what am running and I like the way it works, but you need to understand it before you use it.
