Hi, Anyone ever tried to use squidGuard on a server that has a parent cache running ?
The scenario we have here is that our head office pushes all their internet access through a satellite site. This wasn't a problem till we introduced a local squid server to help preserve bandwidth. SquidGuard on the local server seems to ignore all the requests and I can only presume this is because they are being sent to a parent cache, of course the parent cache sees all the requests as coming from one IP, the satellite cache so we can filter the bad stuff from there but it does limit how much control we have. Is there a setting I can change on the satellite squid box to get it to push everything through squidGuard before passing it upstream ? Thanks in advance Andy.
