Hi everybody, I have been using Linux for two years
but it's the first time I use squidguard. I have
Squidguard 1.1.4 installed on my squid 2.3.stable4
proxy server. I use a SuSE 7.2 server for proxying the
win2k machines. Everything is ok, internet speed is
fine unless
squidguard runs. But when it does, win machines try to
connect to internet but the connection speed is so
slow that they cannotaccess any pages.
I thought the problem could be the number of child
processes and created 15 children, but it doesn't
change the result.
Here is my squidguard.conf:
logdir /var/squidGuard/logs
dbhome /var/squidGuard/db
source hocalar {
ip 192.168.25.1
ip 192.168.25.3-192.168.25.90
# AND
}
source ogrenciler {
ip 192.168.25.2
}
dest blacklist {
domainlist blacklist/domains
urllist blacklist/urls
}
acl {
hocalar {
pass all
}
ogrenciler {
pass !blacklist all
}
default {
pass none
redirect http://zeynep/~zeynep/engel.html
}
}
Required directories exist. One more problem arises
when I use this redirect phrase.
This url is a web site which exists and can be viewed
in my LAN. "zeynep" is the name
of the machine and also a user name. Redirection works
*(but wrongly) when I use, e.g:www.hotmail.com,
but it gives parse error if I use this local address.
*It redirects all the requests to hotmail.com
althohugh they are coming from "hocalar" source.
I really couldn't handle this. What is the problem?
P.S: I read the docs on www.squidguard.org
Any kind of help would be appreciated, thanks!
