I keep seing this and keep wanting to say something about it. Mandrake 8.2 does NOT load BerkeleyDB and I can't find it on the CD. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right place. I can however run squidGuard -u all and get this output
2002-05-01 14:40:29 [9356] squidGuard 1.2.0 started (1020282028.388) 2002-05-01 14:40:29 [9356] db update done 2002-05-01 14:40:29 [9356] squidGuard stopped (1020282029.043) The closest thing I can find that relates to this that is installed is libdb3.3-3.3.11-7mdk db2-2.4.14-5mdk running "locate" on DB, BerkeleyDB, Berk, and berk fails to find anything that appears related to BerkeleyDB. On another server, I did something similar because I had to leave ALOT of stuff off, forcing me to do this. (excerpt from .bash_history) rpm -ivh BerkeleyDB-devel-2.7.7-6mdk.i586.rpm Then I actually copied my domains.db files from another machine that was already configured (RH7.2) and it immediately complained about the db version. I simply deleted the .db files and re-ran -u all and it recreated the db files. If someone can tell me a better way of finding out which version of BerkeleyDB I have on these server's, and it turns out it is something other than 3.29 I will be more than happy to archive my configs and samples of files for folks to try out...
