RE: makefile is not found

If configure really works then it will create a makefile. That is the command you need. No makefile - no make!

Makefile.in is there but is there a command I can type to get the make command to work......I just need something to get this thing working.

Needs to be a makefile; makefile.in is there for configure to create a makefile from.

I have a problem....I'm installing squidGuard and when I type in make I get a reply back saying that no makefile is found.  I've checked the directory and there is a makefile.in.  I am running DB 3.2.9 and the version of squidGuard is 1.2.0.  Is there a solution for this problem.  I am able to use ./configure and it works I just can't make.  I have tried several times to redownload the file and reinstall it.  But everytime I get the same message.  Please help me with this problem.
