Interesting procedure... where'd you get it? What does the '-d' switch do?

Here are the processes I've used:

Changes made to squidGuard.conf:
squid -k reconfigure

Changes to blacklists, if you are using prebuilt databases:
Option 1
Add changes to domains.diff or urls.diff (see documentation)
squidGuard -u
squid -k reconfigure
Option 2
Make changes directly to domains and urls text files
squidGuard -C domains|urls
squid -k reconfigure

Changes to blacklists, if you are using only the text files:
Make changes directly to domains and urls text files
squid -k reconfigure
