Hi

I am very new to squidGuard, but are you sure it has not gone into
'emergency mode'. If it has, then it does not block a thing.

Gets very frustrating if you are trying to test something, get the syntax
wrong and then all the rubbish flows in.

Subject: SquidGuard NOT blocking URLS

Hi all,

i have just now installed and configured squidGuard
1.2.0 by compiling it on Redhat Linux Kernel 2.4.7 (
redhat linux 7.2 ) and using it with squid
2.4.STABLE1-5 ( rpm )
i have configured as per the INSTALL docs and the test
simulation results are the same as per the docs ..

but when i start squid and tail -f my squidGuard.log
file it doesnt show any activity ... and also whenever
i try accessing my denied URLS am able to access them
and they are not getting redirected ?

my /etc/squidGuard.conf is as follows :-

( looking forward to your help ! )

dbhome /var/lib/squidGuard/blacklists
logdir /usr/local/squidGuard/log

dest porn {
domainjlist porn/domains
urllist porn/urls
}

acl {
default {
pass !porn all
redirect http://10.1.1.1.
}
}
