We have been using Berkley DB 2.7.7 and it has worked(!) I will however, try updating
to 3.29 as I have seen this comment before.

Yes it tells me that urllists and domainlists are empty for every category.

Sorry, it's /usr/local/squidGuard/

Subject: SquidGuard just stopped working
Dear All,
We have been happily running SquidGuard 1.20 with Squid 2.4S4 on SuSe 7.3 for some
months now. However, recently it has just stopped
working. The log keeps telling me that the 'domainlist is empty', meaning that it
passes all traffic. When I run squidGuard -C all
to create the DB files, I get no errors in the log. I have included below the
directory permissions and the conf file.
