Just announcing that I have made my Anti-Virus plugin for DansGuardian
available from www.pcxperience.org for beta testing. It uses the virus
scanning subsystems from the MailScanner (www.mailscanner.info) and has
been modified to be a single pass scan solution. Unlike the viralator,
it scans you're file as it is downloaded, instead of redirecting you to
a page, etc. This allows ftp clients, etc. to work like normal. You
just experience a slight delay.
I currently have only tested the F-Prot virus scanner (www.f-prot.com)
but if you check out the list that MailScanner supports, the others will
eventually be updated to work in my code.
