----> Event Description <-----------------------------------------------

Roddy Schrock makes acoustic and electronic music, rarely combining the
two. Due to a
combination of chance and circumstance, he relocated to Tokyo in 1999 and
founded
(w/Robert Duckworth) the new media/sampling duo Tog. Tonight, Schrock presents
"logic is has cow is stuck on you" which the artist describes thus: There
were cows.
There was love. Later, there was logic. Ritual remained. Always, the four
legged
angels would applaud if we played well. It is three young men. It is
moving, sounding
bodies. It is edible props and noise machinery. It is being developed for
a more
comprehensive performance as part of the Signal Flow Festival at Mills. The
three young
men are Schrock, Tadashi Usami, and Rasmus Joergensen. Usami is the
organizer of
experimental music group, Kaiten Mind. Rasmus Joergensen likes sound and
visuals in
live contexts. When he was a small boy growing up in Norway, he wanted to
be a
performance artist. He is now studying at Mills College. His favorite
color is green,
but he's not sure.

Dean Santomieri has worked with electronic music and musique concrete, as
well as
creating multi-image pieces, super-8 and 16mm films and videos. In 1998,
Santomieri
joined with musicians Bruce Anderson, Karen Stackpole and David Kwan, for
performances of his short stories (narration plus live music and video). Karen
Stackpole will be providing percussion accompaniment for Santomieri's
pieces tonight.

Randy Nordschow is a composer, performer, and creator of interdisciplinary
work. His
compositions have been performed throughout the US and Europe. His music
draws upon
elements and concepts associated with the visual arts rather than musical
tradition.
Nordschow has exhibited sound, installation, visual work, and performance
art in a
variety of contexts.

Chevron (Eugene, OR) is a three piece, instrumentalist leaning band that
blends
dynamics, melody, and noise in accompaniment to video and slide projections.
