"Trembling Before G-d" SF Premiere and Related Events Opens Thursday, February 28 - Thursday, March 14 show times listed below film $7.50, $4.50 seniors; most events free ----> Event Description <----------------------------------------------- You are invited to attend the much-anticipated San Francisco premiere of "Trembling Before G-d," opening Thursday, February 28th at the Castro Theater. "Trembling Before G-d" is an unprecedented documentary film that shatters assumptions about faith, sexuality, and religious fundamentalism. The film tells the personal stories of Hasidic and Orthodox Jews who are gay or lesbian, and examines the profound and painful dilemma they face reconciling the two contradictory identities. "Trembling" has sparked controversy and earned critical acclaim around the globe. It won ten international awards and was the talk of the town at the recent Sundance Film Festival. General screening times at the Castro Theatre for the film are as follows: February 28 through March 14th: Daily: 7:00 & 9:10pm; Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday: 12:30, 2:40, 4:50, 7:00, & 9:10pm; the film will not be shown on Sunday, March 10th.
