ODC Theater is proud to be a part of National Dance Week. Join ODC in celebrating this long-standing week of national dance performances on April 25th when they will present "Peep Show...dances you can't wait to see." Peep show features pre-season peaks at new works and works-in-progress from five of the Bay Area's top choreographers and their companies: Stephen Pelton Dance Theater, Facing East Dance & Music, Megan Nicely and Company, AXIS Dance Company and SHIFT>>>Physical Theater. Each company will perform 15 minutes of work. It is free to the public, low tech, with no fees involved.
Formed In 1981the coalition of National Dance Week began their mission of bringing greater recognition to the art form of dance. They have worked diligently over the years to further growth and recognition of dancers, choreographers, teachers and students of this art form. �The National Dance Week Mission Statement has been determined to heighten the awareness of Dance and its contributions to our culture. Dance is good for the mind, body and spirit. UDMA is dedicated to honoring all dancers, choreographers, teachers, students and their art and invite all supporters to join in their efforts to celebrate their appreciation for the dance arts as they continue on the quest for raising the public consciousness to the inherent benefits of dance.� All events are free and open to the public, so there is no excuse for missing this show. National Dance week 2004 runs April 23 � May 2nd.
