San Francisco � From potty training a toddler to poofing your hair circa 1985, from cleaning the bottom of your refrigerator to re-integrating your housecat into the wild, the "How To" Intensive at New Langton Arts is this spring�s guide to a better you. In a culture obsessed with self-improvement, esoteric knowledge and quick fixes, Langton�s artists bring you up to speed, offering extraordinary insight into mundane tasks and a helping hand to tackle life�s larger questions. This winter, Langton�s video and performance curators put out an open call for entries and have selected more than a dozen instructional video installations, power point presentations and live performances, most of them world premieres, to be featured in the three-day festival.
