Greetings, poetry aficionados! It�s that time again � the Sun is in the sign of Gemini, the sign of motion and communication. Coincidentally, it�s a week before the birthday of your hostess with the mostest, NAZELAH! And what better way to celebrate my birthday then with lots of MOTION and COMMUNICATION at Chicken Grease! at the Starry Plough in Berkeley! And don�t you just love spring � the flowers are blooming, the birds are breeding, the students are graduating, the poetry slam teams are forming, there�s an overall feeling of rebirth and newness. Speaking of newness, every birthday I celebrate is my Happy New Year! And in honor of this joyous occasion, I�ve invited DAN WOLF (of Felonious: onelovehiphop) to tickle your ears with rhythmic beatbox stylings and poetic verses. And, like every other 1st Wednesday of the month, the Amazon Crew will be there, too: lovely co-host KAREN & DJ AGANA spinning hot salsa hip hop � sounds like a party to me! As always Women Who Sign Up To Read Get In Free!!! Oh, there�ll be cake, and surprises, and other tasty treats. Hey � birthdays come but once a year, and they�re a very good excuse to go to a bar, drink a lot and listen to poetry. Let me be your excuse to party � see y'all at the Slam!!!
