Friday October 14-24, 2005 Mon.-Sat. 10a.m-6 p.m, Sun. 12-6 p.m Free ----/ Event Description /----------------------------------------------- Underwater Photographer Scott "Gutsy" Tuason would like to invite you to his first U.S Exhibition of his underwater photography. His photographs were exhibited in several shows sponsored by WWF (World Wildlife Fund) and he continues to be a WWF Contributing Photographer. He will be exhibiting original large prints of his work. His photography has moved beyond the realm of simple documentation to one of a man whose images chronicle a space in time for undersea life in the disappearing virgin reefs of the Philippine Islands. Plagued by blast fishing, pollution, poison fishing as well as the flotsam and jetsam of a continiously industrializing world, these images allow us to see the depth of the reef wildlife and beauty. He has been diving for 26 years and taking underwater pictures for 20 years. In 1990 he received an Open Water Instructor rating from PADI. To date, Scott has logged over 4000 dives. His work has been published in books and magazines worldwide and his photographs were displayed at the Philippine booth during the 1998 World Expo in Lisbon, Portugal. They are currently being used by the Philippine Department of Tourism for their WOW Philippines ad campaign and were recently highlighted once again at the 2005 World Expo held in Japan.
