This event was put together as a spontaneous response to human suffering. It's an artist and activist-packed marathon to support grassroots efforts to rebuild New Orleans on principles of sustainability, economic, environmental and racial justice. Have you wanted to write a check for Katrina Relief, but you don't trust the Red Cross to get your money to the people? Funds will be split between Rebuild Green in New Orleans and the Vanguard Foundation's People's Hurricane Relief Fund-earmarked specifically for children.
