Emch and Sherilyn Connelly, Queer Open Mic hopes to bring together writers and poets at every level, aesthetic, ethnicity, age and gender to share art, enthusiasm and some damn good times in the name of community, revolution and activism. This time around, QOM is proud proud proud, and a lot a bit honored to welcome Juba Kalamka! Juba (aka pointfivefag) is most recognized for his work as a founding member of Deep Dickollective (D/DC) and development of the label Sugartruck Recordings. His most recent accomplishments include serving as Festival Director for East Bay Pride 2003 and curator of the 2nd and 3rd Annual World HomoHop Festival. D/DC's 2nd full length CD " The Famous Outlaw League Of Proto-Negroes" is out now..His second solo effort "Oogabooga Under Fascism" will be released in late 2004. So bring your poems, songs, what have you and get ready to RAWK!
