While occasional donations are welcome, what we really hope for is your support through continued attendance at our shows. We are the only SF Rec & Park program for adult dramatists and theatergoers in the City. Our mission is to make democratic theatre available to any and all citizens, to promote the mutual human understanding that live theatre engenders, and to make a contribution to the cultural diversity of San Francisco. The future of our program depends on two things: continued strong attendance at performances and the visible advocacy of the cultural community of the City. As we look forward to the renovation of the Harvey Milk Center for Recreational Arts (our primary rehearsal space), it is important that we continue to have visible participants who want the Rec & Park Dept. to provide community-based programs for adult theatre artists and their audiences during evening hours. Whereever you can, spread the word. Tell your friends, your neighbors, your co-workers about our shows. Write to the mayor and your supervisor to tell them that you want the SF Free Civic Theatre to continue to be the free community resource that a great city deserves. Continue to be the great and loyal audience you've been for the last six years.
