Saturday, June 24th 5:00pm-7:00pm FREE!!!!FREE!!!FREE!!! ----/ Event Description /----------------------------------------------- Hello Everybody, I am throwing A Night of Voices this Saturday at The Jupiter in downtown Berkeley. The show is Free, from 5pm to 7pm and will feature Salane & Friends, The Isabellas and Kou Chen as well as stories by myself. The Jupiter is located at 2181 Shattuck Ave in Berkeley and is on the same block as the Downtown Berkeley Bart Station. It is a pub that serves food. The stage is in the very back, outside, beneath a redwood tree. Salane & Friends is a one woman new wave band. It is a unique performance that is as enjoyable to the eyes as it is to the ears. This is one of those things that have to been seen to be believed. The Isabellas is a three piece that is the latest brain child of Chloe Martin. The influences are widely spread and things can get loud. Kou Chen performs Chinese Blues on a Harmonica. He is one of my favorite performers and his performance is one that can only be accomplished after decades of practice. He is a true musician. I plan on reading some recently published material and opening things up to the audience to tell whatever stories they really want to hear as well as bringing some new material to this show. The whole thing is free, outside and taking place where beautiful people will bring you beer and wine while you enjoy four very different performances. Seating is limited and can go quickly so it is recommended that guests arrive by 4:50. I look forward to seeing you there.
