I've just looked at their website... and from the requirements alone, I'm going to say that openwebmail doesn't even use IMAP, but does in fact access the mail files directly. This is what is allowing the files to be accessed from any location on the server. Unfortuntely SM doesn't do this, although a couple of people have asked for direct Maildir/mbox access via SM... which would be the feature you're asking for. > Now, I understand Jonathan's point that SM is putting mail where the > IMAP server says it should go, but it doesn't necessarily have to be > that way. :-) An option similar to what Openwebmail uses would be > nice (hint, hint). Consider it a feature request. :-) I think devel is more likely to ever have this implemented than stable due to devel's dynamic back end support... or at least that is how the developers are working it towards anyway. > Jonathan suggested I take a look at the IMAP server, which is UW by > the way, and see if a change can be make there. Somehow, I doubt it. You're probably right. Unfortunately UW isn't very flexible in terms of configuration or settings, and you have to edit source code itself... so if you want to make that kind of change... it'll be a permanent change until you recompile ;) -- Jonathan Angliss ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: See the NEW Palm Tungsten T handheld.
