POP and IMAP have to do with "receiving" or viewing mail. I.e. they handle mail that has been delivered. Sending mail is usually done via SMTP. Beyond that I'm not sure what "outlook express can send mails from the host but can not connect the server when he wants to send mail." means, but I can't think of an interpretation that has do do with SquirrelMail. Can you rephrase the question and tell us exactly what the problem you are having with SquirrelMail is?
