I am paul, and I have been doing most of the work on one of the SM plugins that you might be able to use (but didn't want to specifically recommend it unless I understood your setup a bit better). If you have a setup like akin's, then you can in fact use it (Change MySQL Password) -- but you must have your user id's and passwords stored in a MySQL database. Please verify that vchkpw is using MySQL -- if not, what is it using?
