>From what I remember, UW reads INBOX from /var/spool/mail/$USER and the
rest of the mail files such as trash, sent, and drafts from /home/$USER/. 
So I guess a cheating way would be to create a simlink from the spool file
to the main file and do it that way, but that then depends on how you have
your SMTP server setup as well.  Try reading the documentation from UW, as
this isn't really a SquirrelMail issue I don't think, but a UW IMAP
problem.  You'll find if you used any IMAP client, it'd not go into
Mailbox, but just mail/.

Just as a small point, can you please not quote the full mail headers in
replies, it's a waste of bandwidth.
