My guess would be that he's got a /ton/ of mail in one or another of his
mailboxes. To get around this, you can try a couple things.

1. Turn on server-side sorting in conf.pl. This may or may not solve the
problem.

2. Bump up the amount of memory available to PHP in php.ini. This /will/
solve the problem, but it isn't a very graceful way to do it.

Then, once he can get into his mailbox, ask him to clean it up. Surely he
doesn't need /that/ much mail.
