1.2.10 had a session bug in it which behaved rather oddly depending on
your setup. The problem should have been fixed in the 1.2.11[cvs]
version which hasn't (and probably won't) be released. It is still
accessible from the download page as a daily tarball, or using CVS,
details on how to get it using that method are also on the download
page on the www.squirrelmail.org webpage.

The PHP team decided to alter the way that some session handling is
done in 4.3.0, and as a small side effect, there is sometimes an error
reported on logging in (not what you're seeing now). I've yet to test
anything properly with PHP 4.3.0, but hope to do so soon.
